Baptism marks the beginning of our journey as followers of Christ and initiates us into the Christian faith community. Through the pouring of water and the invocation of the Holy Trinity, we are cleansed of original sin and born anew in Christ. In Baptism, we become children of God and members of the Church, united with Christ in His death and resurrection. It is a joyous occasion for families and the entire faith community as we welcome new members into the Body of Christ.
At our Parish, we offer Baptism for infants, children, and adults seeking to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church through the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). Baptism for infants and young children typically involves the participation of parents and godparents who pledge to raise the child in the Catholic faith. For adults, Baptism is preceded by a period of catechesis and spiritual preparation through the RCIA process.
If you or your child are interested in receiving the sacrament of Baptism or if you have questions about its significance, we invite you to reach out to our Parish office. Our pastoral staff and volunteers are here to guide you through the process and celebrate this sacred moment of initiation into the Christian faith with you and your family.
